As the summer months approach and the mercury rises, New Braunfels, Texas slowly fills with pleasure seekers looking to submerge themselves in the cool waters of the Comal and Guadalupe Rivers. Or, you know, just float down on a inner tube with a cold beverage in hand. This once sleepy German-American Town has reinvented itself as an entertainment destination in Central Texas. Starting from Memorial Day to the end of summer, people venture into the town to enjoy the truly Texan pastime of ‘floating a river’.  The lackadaisical flows of both the Comal and Guadalupe rivers provide a perfect venue for tubes and brews.
