I just wanted to take a couple of quick minutes to talk a little bit about Cibolo and give you some verbal feedback on it, in case you’re relocating from outside of the area or if your just relocating from within the area and want to learn a little bit more about it.
Cibolo is a great place. Cibolo is its own municipality. The interesting thing is since there’s not a whole lot of new building going on in the Schertz area Cibolo has kind of taken the reins on new builds so you can drive up and down and you can find new homes as you venture further out. So 1103 right now is really where a lot of the building is going on. You have homes of different price points, homes of, I would almost say different quality, you know, it’s obviously based on what you’re paying for, really the average price points are anywhere from the 100’s into the 300’s. So all in all Cibolo is a great place if your communicating anywhere on the North East side of San Antonio. You do have a handful of different builders there, you have D R Horton over in Turningstone, you have a Vela vista community there, you have Armadillo up at the front, up at fairways and definitely a few others that have either been building there for while or just starting to break ground there. Overall I think many people would agree that Cibolo is an area that’s got a pretty good rating when it comes to good schools, fairly low crime. One of the issues that does come into play for those of you that like to cook with gas is I’ve found that for the most part in the Cibolo area is electric when it comes to stoves and ranges, so please keep that in mind if you are interested in having a gas cook top you’ll definitely want to make sure that that’s an option within any community that your building or purchasing.
Taxes are also lower in the Cibolo area, you’re going to be gravitating towards the 2% range versus 2.8, 2.7 and closer to the 3 range as in general as is the case in San Antonio.
