The students who live within Buffalo Crossing will attend schools that are managed by Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City Independent School District (SCUCISD). This is a small district of only 15 campuses that serve some of the smaller communities that border San Antonio to the northwest. The district was evaluated in the most recent TEA rating as a “Recognized” district. An analysis of the district reveals that a third of its schools received the “Exemplary” rating while about half were considered “Recognized”, and the remaining campuses were rated as “Academically Acceptable”. The young scholars of Buffalo Crossing will attend the exemplary Wiederstein Elementary, followed by Jordan INtermediate, then Dobie Junior High, and finish their public education at the brand new Byron P.
