Homes in Northcliffe

Northcliffe is one of Schertz, Texas oldest subdivisions and represents one of the first communities to kickstart interest in the area. While Schertz is now considered the best city in Texas by CNN and Money Magazine, when is was built in 1976 - Schertz was not even a blip on the map. This established neighborhood is made up of approximately 700 homes that are just a mere 20 miles north of Downtown San Antonio. The community has a number of public amenities around it that include a City Of Schertz Park as well as a pool, a community center, and a public golf course. Northcliffe is also “Deed Restricted” and residents must automatically comply with the covenants and restrictions of the community by virtue of living within the community. This is all managed by Northcliffe’s  active and engaged Home Owner’s Association that maintains and manages the common spaces and provides resources to residents. Residents of Northcliffe must pay $25 annually to the HOA. The location of Northcliffe makes it equidistant to either New Braunfels or San Antonio. As such, residents have easy and convenient access to the urban benefits of San Antonio, or the more recreation or festival based attractions of New Braunfels. Northcliffe is also quite close to one of Texas’ largest outdoor shopping center - The Forum. Here residents can peruse a Super Target, Best Buy, Chair King, and a number of small boutiques and casual restaurants. Since Northcliffe and Schertz are close to the confluence of military employers in northeast San Antonio (Ft. Sam Houston, Brooks Army Medical Center, and Randolph Air Force Base) the neighborhoods tend to have a large military community.

Northcliffe School District

The young scholars who call Northcliffe home, go to schools under Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City Independent School District (SCUCISD). While this district of 15 schools could be considered small when held up against the giant district of San Antonio, it still manages to perform at the same “Recognized” level as most academically successful districts in The Alamo City.
